8 Holyrood Avenue is a comfortable house for 5 students. All the bedrooms are double and , although one is larger, they are all very generously sized. The house is cheap to run, having double glazing, cavity wall insulation and generous loft insulation. Security is important to us and the house has security lights on all sides, deadlocks and security glazing at the front door. It has been recently re-roofed and has a new boiler which never allows the hot water to run out.
The kitchen has a fridge and a fridge-freezer. There is a microwave and a washer-drier. Tenants can enjoy communal meals if desired, as the kitchen is large enough to accommodate a dining table. The lounge is comfortably furnished and all bedrooms offer a desk and ample storage, as well as a double bed. Every room is well-provided with electric sockets. The house meets all the council's requirements in terms of fire, electrical and gas safety. There is both a bathroom and a shower room with a second lavatory.
There is a pleasant garden with a bike shed and the security lighting will double as lighting for summer barbecues. Gardeners appear magically several times a year to maintain the garden, but if you have a special occasion planned, we can supply some gardening equipment.
